The Dana Hills Invite will be held at the famous Dana Hills High School Course in Dana Point, California. It will take place on Saturday, September 6th, 2025, beginning at 8am. The top 25 individuals will earn a medal in every race as well as the top three teams in each race. This course is known for being flat and fast and always brings exciting races. Girls 3 Miles D1 Ron Buchheim Elite Race
Looking at the girls team battle, the hosting team, Dana Hills HS, is one of the favorites alongside Del Norte High School, Wilson (Long Beach) HS and Tesoro HS.
On the individual side, Avery Errecart, the junior from Wilson (Long Beach) is one of the pre-race favorites as she ran 17:41.3 on the 3 mile 2025 Cool Breeze invite course. Also to watch is as Amber Dazey from Tesoro High School who took 10th place at Cool Breeze invite in a time of 17:24.4. Another contender for this girls championship race title, Ally Santavicca, from Poway HS, covered the CCA Ravens Invite 3 mile course in 17:39.4 to place 8th overall. Close behind in that same CCA invite race was Addison Shannon from Del Norte High School who ran 17:58.5. All of these girls will be lacing up their shoes with hopes of being the first across the finish line on the morning of September 6th.
Boys 3 Miles D1 Ron Buchheim Elite Race
As for the boys team competition, the hosting team, Dana Hills HS, is one of the favorites alongside Del Norte High School, Aliso Niguel HS, Poway HS, Vista Murrieta HS, San Clemente HS, West Ranch HS, West Torrance HS and Woodbridge HS.
The Senior, Braulio Castillo, from West Ranch HS ran 14:42.3 at the Cool Breeze Invite 3 mile course, taking 5th place overall there. That puts him as one of the favorites going into the Elite Race at Dana Hills Invite. Another runner to watch out for is Aidan Antonio from Woodbridge HS has run 15:02.0 on The Bridge XC Challenge 3 mile course. Notably, West Torrance's Dylan Mehnert ran a time of 14:50.4 at The Great Cow Run 3 mile race. Nolan Calder from San Juan Hills HS will look to finish as the champion as he ran 15:06.70 at the 3 mile CCA Ravens XC invite. Kellan Fleck from La Costa Canyon ran 15:15.70 at that same CCA XC Invite. Parker McAdam and Karson Brunke from Aliso Niguel are other notable runners to watch out for.
